Does Tenderness In The Nasal Bridge Need A Visit To A Doctor?
I was kneeling on the floor when my son knocked me over and I plunged head (or rather nose) first into the floor. Have a lot of tenderness on bridge of nose (I was wearing glasses at the time) and a chronic low-pain headache 3 days after incident. Should I see my doctor?
Noted your history of knocking you over while you were kneeling on floor, fell down with tenderness on nasal bridge and headache for 3 days, wants to know whether to consult a Doctor. You should surely consult a Doctor, preferably an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation, examination, ENT Endoscopy and get CT scan of the nose. This will help to see for any fracture, hematoma. If required a minor correction if there is any fracture with deviation. To take a prescription based course of an anti-inflammatory medicines. There are many conditions that may show up later in life life if there is a fracture of skull-base hence the need to evaluation now.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
