Does The Flagentyl Dosage For Vaginal Infection Need Tapering?

Hello my wife has been prescribed flagentyl for a vaginal infection however the dose prescribed is 2 x 500mg pills every 12 hours. This seem a v high dose to me. She s been feeling v tired since starting this dose and her urine is v dark. Please advise us
