Does The Nicorette Gum Cause Hair Loss?

I finally quit smoking about a year ago. .with the help of Nicorette gum. been chewing it ever since.. now am losing my hair. I am a woman 63 yrs old. Have tried biotin and don't like the facial and leg hair if produces. Does the Nicorette gum cause hair lo9ss and what else can I do? Thanks
