Does The Bleeding During The First Trimester Cause Any Birth Defects?
Im 39 years old I had sonography done of my 6th month. Doc asked me whether I had fever n pneumonia during the first 3 monts; which Ii replied in –ve. The only thing is that I was having slight bleeding problem which stopped long back. I am worried about my report of sonogpy. I would like to know from you whether there is any problem for my baby. Please advise.

Hi, I understand your concern. Bleeding in first three months of pregnancy , mostly due to hormonal deficiency. which stops after hormone replacement. Such bleeding mostly does not cause fetal abnormality. -Still if you have doubt/stress about your babies well being- you can go for color Doppler testing,which will exclude/diagnose problem with baby. - Considering your age you should get Triple guard test ,it will exclude fetal abnormality totally.
