Does The Expired Pregnancy Test Strip Show Accurate Results?

Hi, I'm a week late starting my period so took pregnancy test which I had in the cabinet and the result was a very sure positive....it wasn't until after the initial shock that I looked at the expiry date which was 2 years previous that I'm now querying he result? It's too late to shop for a new test now, is it worth me worrying or is the result likely to be wrong due to an expired test???

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
The expired pregnancy test strip is most probably showing corrects result. Because expiration of test kit would not cause positive test result & often the test kit becomes less sensitive to HCG hormone present with passage time. Therefore you should be pregnant according to me as you have delayed periods also
But you Should not rely on this test report & you should check again with a new pregnancy test strip. Alternatively a blood pregnancy test could also be done.
