Does The High Blood Sugar Levels Affect The Baby?

Hi Doctor,



Im 28 years old, weight 92 kg, height 170 cm and 33 weeks pregnant with my fifth baby ( 1 girl + 2 twins + 1 still birth due to incomplete formation ) and initially i was diagnosed with high blood pressure and on medication it lowered down to normal level 120/70, now after conducting the ultrasound my gyno detected that the baby is big size and this is how i was asked to check my blood sugar and it was 8.1 and i was told by my gyno to do the 3 hour glucose test which i will be doin tomorow.

I was just wondering how will it effect my baby at this level, bearing in mind that i have never had high blood sugar in my previous pregnancies.
