Hi,
If you are due for your period in a day or two, you do not need to take emergency contraception for an intercourse that has happened now because you are in the safe period. Ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next period and that is the fertile period of a cycle. Further, if you take an emergency pill, your period may get delayed by a week or two or you may get some withdrawal bleeding followed by irregularity as the pill contains excess hormone high enough to disrupt hormonal milieu and this is not advisable. Hope your query has been answered. Take care.
