Does The Intake Of Postinor 2 Cause Delayed Periods?

I took postinor2 after 48h of having unprotected sex about 4 times last month and am yet to see my period.the last time I saw my period was February 19 and was expecting to it towards ending of march but till date,I haven t had my period.please what could be the problem?

Hello and welcome.

Postinor had to be taken before the first 72 hours and if taken at 48 hours has about 58% chance of protection from pregnancy. Not a very good number and so I wiuld first recommend a home pregnancy test using an early morning urine sample.

If pregnancy is completely and elaborately ruled out then we can assume the excessive intake of ECPs (emergency contraceptive pills) to be the cause for the irregularity.
