Does The Knee Injury Need Medical Attention?

I am 28 years old and last week I fell on my knee at work. It has been a week and now it is hot and red. It hurts to put pressure on it and I put a poltice on it last night. When I woke the scab came off and everything was green? I have a history of boils. Should I seek medical attention.
