Does The Low Blood Sugar Levels Damage The Body Tissues?
hi doctor,my husband is 36 years old,ht 171cm,wt 85kg. he was diagnosed with diabetes type 2 3 yrs back.that time his cholesterol was quite high then he was on ATORSAVE EZ2Omg,amaryl 1mg BD,cetapin XR 500 1bd,.he was on this medication till last month.since last three months his blood sugar level was quite high,and blood LDL is now borderline high.so doctor put him on DIABEX 1000 1BD, ROSUVASTATIN 10mg1OD he is also taking amaryl 1mg 1BD before meal.his sugar level in now between 6-8.5 mg (fasting) and 7-10(PPBS-2hrly) does he need to change the anti-diabetic drugs?or this will do? does this blood sugar level damage the body tissues or it needs to be more lower? atorsave Ez 20mg is safe or Rosuvastatin 10 mg?thank you.

Atorvastatin is preferred for long term usage .sugar control as per values mentioned is good , however do a glycated harmoglobin to assess long term control .antidiabetic medication need not be changed now .please do include a healthy diet and regular physical exercise in your daily schedule .
