Does The Pap Smear Test A Day Before Periods Give Abnormal Results ?

I had a pap smear one day before I started my period. The results came back abnormal. I have never had an abnormal test before. I m going to get another pap smear, but was curious if this could ve been caused by the close proximity to starting my period.

Hello

There could have been some changes in the mucosa that would bring about abnormal results.You should repeat the pap in the post menstrual period.
