Does The Peeled Off Gum In A Child Regrows Normally?
Hi my little girl aged 6 had her front top tooth pulled out and it came out with a little part of gum covering the top of the tooth. Now one tooth is covered normally at the top and the new tooth that was growing behind the milk one has a bit at the top missing. Can the gum grow back over the new tooth or will it stay always more exposed than other? Many thanks.
As per your complain if a little bit of the gum is torn during extraction it regenerates and takes its normal shape and position.
As you are finding that her permanent tooth is a bit more exposed you may also take into consideration that the permanent tooth is bigger in size as compared to milk tooth so you must be getting mislead that gum is short as tooth must be appearing bigger in size..
Other thing is that if really the gum is torn, due to good blood supply on face and gums the portion can heal better leading to covering the exposed part tooth..
I would still suggest you that if you are worried you can consult a Paediatric dentist who can evaluate clinically and explain you what bst can be done..
Hope your query is solved..
