Does Thyroid Disorder Cause Blood Clots In The Body?

Can a thyroid problem cause blood clots if you didn t take them the way you are suppose to years ago I am just wondering if there could be a connection between the two .I was just diagnosed with the clots this year and I am now on blood thinner can t find any more info if there is a connection any info will be helpful.Thank you.

Thrombus may lead to infraction lead to take anti-platelet drugs. usually thyroid disorder act as a risk factor to develop high cholesterol which lead to thrombus formation and plaque formation lead to stroke. So better to keep control your thyroid disorder under control.
