Does Thyronorm 62.5 Mcg Has Side Effect For Pregnant Lady ?
Hello Mam, I had miscarriage in sixth week when I conceived for the first time in Sept 2013. Now I am pregnant again. I am in 7th week of my pregnancy. I had got my THS level checked for the first time. My TSH level is 8.37. So doctor have recommended me 62.5 mcg (50 mcg +12.5 mcg) of Thyronorm. Can u pls suggest me whether i can take up this medication or not? Do this have any side effects on my baby or me? Besides Thyronorm, my doctor have recommended the following medicines to me for my pregnancy: Folvite 5mg, Susten 200 mg and Ecosprin 75 mg. I am very worried about my pregnancy due to my previous miscarriage. Please suggest whether I can continue with these medicines or not
Hello, Good day. Your doctor has prescribed good medicines. Thyronorm is safe in pregnancy and for baby. It is recommended to keep your TSH less than 2.5 during first three month sof pregnancy and less than 3 during last 6 months. Since your TSH is 8.37, it is better to take medicines. Susten is a progesterone and Folvite is a vitamin. Ecospirin is aspirin. These are all safe. Ecosprin may cause some acidity and chances of minor bleeding. Your doctor may stop ecosprin just before delivery. Your doctor has prescribed these in view of your history of miscarriage. You may continue these Regards Binu
