Does Tonsil Cyst After Bout Of Tonsilitis Indicate Strep?
I went to the doctor two weeks ago and she diagnosed me with tonsillitis. She gave me a shot and ten days of antibiotics. She did not run any tests. Two weeks later, most of the blisters are gone except for one so I go back in. She still does not perform any test and tells me that I have a tonsil cyst and need to see a specialist. Is this common and should she have tested for strep?

It can be a sign of strep throat. You can go for a throat swab to confirm the diagnosis. Do warm saline gargles for symptomatic relief.
