Does Tonsillectomy Make One Prone To Chest Infections?
Hi, I am 29 year old married female. I have been suffering from tonsillitis problem since childhood. In childhood, I used to get high fever along with this problem. After attaining majority, my fever subsided and was facing sore throat problem only. I used to take homeopathy medicines for the same along with hot water. Nowadays, I am staying in Mumbai and have started having this frequent problem of running nose, frequent sneezing and tonsillitis problem (3-4 times in a year). Doctors have prescribed that it is better to be get operated. But there is also a view that after getting tonsillectomy done, one is more prone to chest infections. Kindly advice. Thanks & Regards AB
