General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Sometimes the coverings of the brain may get infected as the germs reach there through the blood stream and cause meningitis. I suggest a consult with neurologist. Maybe she have to do MRI to find if she has any damages.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
