Does Uneasiness And Contractions Means I Am In Labor?
I am 38 weeks pregnant and as of my last appointment, ( 3-4 days ago), my cervix was still closed. Last night, however, I woke up in the middle of the night feeling extremely bad. I was nauseous and hot, the baby felt like he was sitting very heavy. My contractions (or what felt like contractions) starting coming rapidly and intensely. I ended up puking and felt somewhat better but was still unable to sleep the majority of the night (3 hours). The contractions are still there and I had diarrhea this morning. Am I in labor?
I had bad bacon for breakfast Monday morning but only a couple pieces and after a few hours, the side effects of the food seemed to be completely gone.
As you are on 38 weeks that is full term pregnancy. So you are on mature phase of delievery, and labor pain can start at any time. To know or identify the labor pain, you should consider following points. Labor pain comes in phases each pain/contractions last for 5/10 mins and inbetween uterus will be soft. Gradually intensity of contraction increase upto 3-4 contractions every 10 mins each last for 45 sec atleast. Cervix become rip, head engorge in the pelvis of the mother, at last membrane ruptures and liquor comes out. So watch for the contractions and you can identify real labor pain. And visit gynecologist. Have a safe delievery.
