General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would advise you to do tests to make sure if the blisters are due to transmitted infections or not. Herpes genitalis may cause blisters and the treatment you have received will not help with it. Aciclovir is the preferred treatment for herpes.

On the other hand, sexually transmitted infections go hand in hand together, so I would advise you to check the following:
- NAAT for chlamydia and gonorrhea
- examination of the blisters for herpes infection or blood serology for herpes infection
- HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
