General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What symptoms you are experiencing suggests you could be having yeast infection. The cream which you are using is right and it contains anti-fungal medication 'clotrimazole'. Using this should not cause any problems with conception. However, it is essential that you are completely cured of the infection before you plan to conceive.
Kindly do the following things in addition to overcome the infection and to maintain good genital hygiene.
1. Clean the area with mild antiseptic solution like Savlon twice daily.
2. Use vaginal pH balancing solution like 'v wash' regularly.
3. Wear loose fitting undergarments to provide proper ventilation.
4. Abstain from sexual activities till the symptoms subside completely.
Continue with the medication you are using as prescribed.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
