Does Using Metal Hair Clip Cause Headaches?

I also have severe headaches when using any kind of metal hair clip or bobby pin. It is not from tense hair pulling either. It has bothered me for years and only recently I realized it happens with no other trigger, except metals in my hair. I not nausea, more like a migraine throb, until I take out everything g from my hair. It happens with loose pins as well. No itching, just headache pain. How could this interaction with metals cause headaches?

Hi,

It does not usually cause. Your headache might be a vascular headache like migraine-like headache and stress headache. See your clinician for complete evaluation and clinical examination and management.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
