Does Uterus Removal Due To Fibroids Cause Any Problems?

I am 33yrs old i have Fibroids in my utres 6 X 5 cm impinging the cavity of my utres.>Have this prob for the past 7 yrs. Have severe bleeding & Pain ONLY during periods. shall i go for the removal of my utres. Pls let me know whether i'll have any side effects.
