Does Vaginal Dryness And Itchiness After Sexual Intercourse Indicate STD?

i had sexual intercourse about a week ago.. i was dry however my partner kept going.. ever since my vagina has been inflamed, itchy, and irritated.. also sort of dry, is this an std? or am i just recovering due to the fact i was dry while having intercorse

Thank you for query.it is not clear about your age,partner disease history or other symptoms etc.If you had vaginal dryness during intercourse, it is more likely that due to friction there are many abrasions and wounds formed which can lead to these symptoms.So please do not worry.clean the area with warm water twice daily.if there are abrasions topical antibiotic cream like mupirocin can be applied.take antihistamines like cetrizine if pain take analgesic like brufen.if does not subside consult doctor.Avoid intercourse for now.Use condoms and lubricants during intercourse next time.You can get back for any clarifications with details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and venereologist
