Does Varicocele Get Aggravated After Masturbation?
I recently noticed an abnormality in my testicles when masturbating a week or so ago. Midway through, i felt a small lump on my left testes. On further inspection i realized that it wasn t attached to the testes, but rather where the veins were located. I feared the worst thinking it was cancerous, but after researching it seems as if it is varicocele. Does this flare up after masturbation, as whenever I have done it in the past week, I notice the vein gets more noticeable and after a time goes back down into a smaller lump.
Hi. Thanks for your query. this is quite atypical presentation - the lump being felt during masturbation and goes back to smaller lump after masturbation. This can appear due to many factors; as you think of the vein getting enlarged , the cyst or muscle in the spermatic cord getting tensed, Epididymal cyst and so on . I would advise in such a case the following: Manual physical examination by a General Surgeon or Urologist. Color doppler study along with ultrasonography of the scrotum, and abdomen for uro-genital system .
Once the final diagnosis has been made to decide whether to keep this as it is or needs a surgery.
