Does Various Medications Taken During Pregnancy Harm The Baby?

i just recently knew i was pregnant. irregular menstruation so i doesn t matter to me if i got periods or not the problems is i did not know that i was pregnant ang i already take diff kinds of medicine when im not feeling well i am afraid for the effects of the meds to the baby and i am also planninh to abort the baby cause i can not take if the baby got deffects

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
It is always better to avoid any form of medications while you are pregnant as it can cause harmful effects for the developing fetus.
However, not all medications are harmful and unsafe to be taken if you are pregnant. Some of them could be safely taken even while you are pregnant.
Before going for abortion, it would be better to consult Gynecologist and explain which drugs you had consumed, what was the dose and duration, so that the risk assessment to the fetus could be made and then decide weather to continue with pregnancy or not.
