Hello dear,

Asthma is caused due to broncho-constriction (obstruction of smaller airway passages) which is indicative of Hyper-responsiveness of air passages.

Management consists of:
1. Ventolin+ Becotide inhaler- provide symptomatic relief by causing broncho-dilation (dilating the smaller airway passages, relieving the obstruction & increasing airflow to lungs). So, it can be used during an acute attack.
3. Montelukast preparations- used as a maintenance therapy to relieve symptoms of asthma.
4. Antihistamines like Cetrizine can also be used to provide symptomatic relief.
5. Need for anti biotics can arise if there is a secondary infection.
6. Also make sure that you are well protected from exposure to cold, dust or other allergens.

So, it is advisable to kindly continue the inhalers as prescribed by your treating Doctor. You can purchase them with the help of your prescription.

Wishing a good health.
Take care.
