Does Wasp Bite Need Medical Attention?

I was stung by wasps or bee s three days ago but the area of rash..redness and itching continues. One sting was on my face and is still somewhat swollen. My upper lip went numb for about an hour after the attack that made me a 100 yard winner. Do I have a need for any treatment. I seem ok other than rash and itching?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
A sting or bite of bee injects venom composed of proteins and other substances that may trigger an allergic reaction. The sting also causes redness and swelling at the site of the sting.
1.     Cold fomentation with ice pack 5 – 6 times daily
2.     Levocetrizine 5 mg per oral once daily for 5 days
3.     Dexamethasone 0.5 mg twice daily per oral for 5 days
4.     Ibuprofen 600 mg thrice daily if pain occurs. Otherwise avoid it
5.     Do not scratch the area as it will cause skin damage and infection
6.     You can apply calamine lotion for itching
Thanks
