diazepam is a a type of sleeping pill. it usually stays for a long time in blood , it is preferably given for a short period. your doctor want to stop it because it may cause dependence and your body might not need it any longer. your worries are natural ,but there are some other drugs which will be used to counter any withdrawal symptoms which you will face when trying to quit it. dont worry doctor will make it smooth for you. try it. and 2 mg is a small dose weaning off from it will not be very dificult
