Done ACL Surgery, Indented Area Around Scar, Soft Tissue

I have had two ACL surgerys. Today I noticed that the area around my scar is indented and the tissue is soft. For years I have gotten used to feeling either scar tissue or a screw there so I am a little worried. My knee doesn t hurt very much. I have aslo had a cyst develop in just about the same region as well as a blood clot following my second reconstruction.

Hello,
Thanks for the query,

There is a possibility of infection in the scar.

There are instances of even development of soft tissue sarcoma in the scars.

Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.

If it is infection antibiotics would be enough.

A biopsy may be required to confirm the diagnosis.
