I have had a recent AV node ablation, after the atria would not convert (even after a pacemaker).
My electrophysiologist (who did the procedure) says the communication has been cut off between chambers,
and the pacemaker will be working full time. I take Pradaxa, and seem to be improving (2 weeks now), but I can't help
but worrying about the next shoe to drop. To die is not worrisome, but spending more time in the hospital for more
tests, etc. is getting me down. Is there another way to look at this, and how much success do patients have with this procedure? And how long does it take for my body to settle down and be fairly normal? My doctor is pretty self-centered, and does not appear to want to say anything negative.
