Done Dengue Treatment With Platelet Transfer, Have Continuous Flow. Will This Affect The Platelet Count?

Dear Doctor, I have just came out of Degue after 5 days hospitalization with 4 unit Platelate transfer. I had my period started last mondey and during this period it stopped and started again while my normal cycle was completed just 10days back, Now it is not stopping . does it effect of Plate late drop. My count dropped to 64K and now 0000.

Hi Parama,

The menstrual flow usually does not affect the platelet count. It can bring down the hemoglobin level in general.

Please take the complete treatment for Dengue, take adequate rest. You need to also take plenty of fluids orally.
