Done Angiography, Prescribed Lowplate, Diavon, Carlov And Insulin. Want Guidance About Diet
Dear Dr.Grief my mother is diabetic patient and had MI 3 days ago, we had gone through her angiography yesterday and cardiac consultants have suggested to put her on medication and suggest her lowplate 75,diavon 80,carlov( beta blocker )rovista and insulin . I want guidance about her diet and further precautions to aviod any more MI, i am a bit worried that will she be stable.
Diabetes with Myocardial infraction with angiography done her coronary blockage must be like not requring any angioplasty so she is on medicatios advised to seems justified to control diabetes take insulin as far as diet is concerned take low fat low cholesterol low salt diet and regular walking or cardiac rehabilitation what is her age and weight is she over weight then calores may be reduced taking unsaturated fats eg.Rice bran oil,olive oil inlimited quantity and avoiding butter and cheese and trans fats fried items.Take green vegetable /tomato/sproute beans anf if non veg fish and lean meat,and continuous follow up to keep diabetes and BP and heart condition under medical supervision .
