Done Bypass Surgery, Chest Pain, Taking Nitro Pill. Worried

my husband had open heart surgery 1 year ago,due to a massive heart attack they did 5 bi passes ,the DOR PROCEDURE,and he has 100percent blockage in his right side of his neck ,coroid artery .they wanted to bi pass six arerty but after seeing the damage and 10 hours in surgery they decided to recostruct his left vent and they wont touch his neck they said it would be mapractice cause their is a blood clot under the blockage, they said he wouldnt live if he did he would need a heart transplant, now they dont know if he will need it but his prognoises is not good,he isnt suppost to work but he is they said if he wants to just let him cause he is here only by the grace of god,He is very tired all the time he sleeps alot,he is very moody,,but i am really worried cause he has had several funny chest pains they go away with nitro and or a asprian, but latley he is having pains in his left leg that he decribes as simalar to the pains he had when having a heart attack,,but he took a asprian the pain went away then the next day he woke up with leg pains again(upper left leg)he went to work and there he took 1 nitro pill and the pain went away could the pain be assocated with a possibile attack.. when he had his massive heart attack he had pain in his right arm not left,,,he has artery dieasease and it is inherated he only has 15 percent of heart function,,the doc said he shouldnt be alive that he has never seen anyone with a heart in his shape except in a 80 yr old man who is decesed,,can the pain in his leg be caused by a heart or blockage problem,,,thanks alot i am so worried

Hi
You sound intelligent indeed! - your expression of his leg pain is highly suggestive of ischemia (blood flow not enough). This is brought on by work, relieved by rest and nitrates. When it happens to the heart, it is called angina. If it is in legs, it is claudication. The mechanism of pain is same. The causative factors are also same.
The heart pain will NOT be felt BELOW the navel....
The leg pain is most likely a block in leg or thigh arteries - the same heart medicines do help here too. Smoking is dangerous...
God bless you
Good luck
