My father had pancreatitis and had pancreatic necrosectomy done 5 weeks ago. He has no abdominal collection. He also had post op complications such as bleeding, pleaural effusion and atelacstasis. Now his wbc count is normal but the monocytes are raised along with d-dimers. And he has a major chest congestion with cough and sputum . Hi, he got pancriotic necrostomy, 5 weeks ago, Now he got fever, chest congestion , cough and sputum. As it is he must be treated for chest infection, So i advise you to consult a chest physician for diagnosis and treatment. If his chest infection is controlled then you can get his blood work done and consider about. Thank you.
