Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Branchial cleft cyst is due to remaining tissue during embryonic development where as EB virus is a herpes virus which usually causes disease in persons with low immunity. There is no link between the cyst and the virus but there might be a connection between chronic fatigue syndrome and EB virus. There have been studies which show that patient suffering from EB virus infection may develop chronic fatigue syndrome in the long run.
Thanks.
