Hi, I m Camille. 26 of age. My physician told me to consult a doctor due to elevated segmeters. What does this mean?. Here are the results. Hematocrit - 0.45 Hemoglobin - 151 RBC count - 4.99 WBC count - 10.3 Segmenters - 0.68 Lymphocyte - 0.26 Monocytes- 0.04 Stab - 0.00 Eosinophil - 0.02 Kindly send the meaning on YYYY@YYYY
Segmented neutrophils are mature neutrophils that are present in your blood. An increase in their quantity can mean any number of things, including infection. It does seem to have all your other blood parameters under control. I think you should not worry too much about the blood report. Have it repeated in one week and it should be fine. Please consult a pathologist.
