Dr. I Have Peripheral Neuropathy In Both Of My Feet

Dr. I have peripheral neuropathy in both of my feet due to diabetes type 2. I got diabetes when I was about 44 or 45 which was 14 or 15 years ago. My first primary care doctor prescribed me OxyContin with Percocet as a breakthrough drug. That Dr. retired about 6 years ago and my neurologist took me off both the OxyContin and Percocet and put me on 10mg of methadone. My problem is that this methadone does not do me any justice for my pain. How should I go about asking my neurologist if he would put me back on the OxyContin? Or should I look for a doctor that will prescribe me the OxyContin? My quality of life is just about none due to the pain. Please help? Thanks

Sorry to have bothered you Dr. but I didn't know that I am supposed to pay for this question.
