Dry Cough, Blood In Phlegm. Chest Wheezing And Discomfort After Quitting Smoking. What Could It Be?
Hello Doctor,
This afternoon, I started to he a deep dry chest cough. I had no other symptoms of a cold. It has gotten worse into the evening and I just started coughing up flem and what appears to be small bits of blood. Im also starting to feel like a flu or cold is coming on. I am also concerned, cause I had been smoking cigarettes up until 6-7 weeks ago..I quit, but have been having slight chest wheezing and discomfort since then..what could this be?

Cough with expectoration ( phlegm ) with blood is always dangerous , so evaluation is very important .
So consult a physician and get blood and Xray .
