Dry, Flaky Patch Of Skin On Lower Back Above Butt, Not Itchy. Treatment Required?
I ve had a dry, light to medium brown, flakey, patch of skin on my lower back just above my butt cheeks for about a month now. It s not itchy or irritated, about a quarter inch wide and about 1.5 inches long. Just feels like extremely dry skin . Never had a problem with dry skin before. Should I attempt to treat or see doctor?
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Dry flaky skin over the lower back can be localised icthyosis. It is due to excessive washing of the skin over the buttocks area. Use amylac cream over the lesion if not subsided within 4 days go for steroid cream along with amylac cream.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
