Dry Skin On Cheeks, Using Aqueous Cream. What Can I Use To Make It Go?

Hello, I am getting very dry skin on my cheeks (it is not itchy or sore, just red, dry patches). It has only been in the last week or so and we have had very cold, windy weather for months now. I do suffer from petit psoriasis and eczema occasionally but never on my cheeks. I am currently using aqueous cream as a soap-free cleanser morning and night and also as a night cream - can you suggest anything else to make it go??

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
It appears from your situation that you are exposed to the cold weather a lot. In this process our skin on exposed part is most affected. The most important thing in treatment is good moisturization....... but in a proper way. It means you should apply your cream just after bathing when the skin is wet. this is the best time to apply the moisturizers on the skin as it retains the natural moisture of the skin and then we need the minimum quantity of moisturizer also!! Every time when you are applying your moisturizer then the area should be slightly wet and then do not mop it with anything. let it dry by itself. You should do it multiple times a day.
Along with it you also start with dry fruits and seasonal fruits every day. Drink at least 10 glasses of liquids per day.
As soon as your skin will get good water content from inside it will be as glowing as anything.
with best glowing skin wishes,
Dr Sanjay K Kanodia
