Dry, Sore Throat, Feeling Of Malaise. Had Oral With Person With Genital Herpes. Contracted?
Hi I had unprotected oral sex with someone who has genital herpes. She said that she didn't have in around her mouth, only on her vagina and wasnt' currently experiencing any symptoms. 5 days later, today, I woke up with a dry, sore throat and a general feeling of malaise and I'm extremely worried I have contracted hsv-2. a slight case of the chills to

Herpes 1 is normally seen in the oral region and herpes 2 in the genitialia however as a result of oral intercourse , it is possible for a person to have herpes 1 genital herpes and oral herpes 2.
If there is a history of oral herpes (either with herpes 1 or 2) then this can be transferred to the genitalia during oral intercourse with the infected person.
If there is no history of oral herpes then it is unlikely that transfer of the virus can occur during oral intercourse.
Oral herpes would present with discomfort in the mouth, redness , followed by the appearance of a rash that would consist of small fluid filled lesions.
If this is not occurring then it is possible that your symptoms are related to the onset of another viral illness like the common cold and not related to herpes.

HSV type 2;infect the lower part of the body-genital infections
there is a little cross protection.therefore you can get the both infections.
