OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,
Cord around the neck occurs as the baby twists and twirls in the uterus and if this persists toward the end of term, there could be a delay in the process of labor, fetal distress that could lead to abdominal delivery. It is not a mandatory statement that cord around the neck always leads to an abnormal delivery; with a cord long enough and if the baby is not so big, normal delivery is seen in many cases. Please relax, take adequate rest in left lateral position. Wish you safe motherhood.

Hi,

Thanks for your query. I read your query and I understand your concerns.
Following is my reply:

1) There is no reason to fear.

2) Many people with cord around neck inbabies deliver normally.

3) The position of the fetal back is also not a problem.

You have full chances of normal delivery

Let me know if you have anymore doubts.
