Due For Identifying Level Of Mold Contamination Being Toxic To Humans And Animals. Explain

We have identified a possible leak in our roof by a mold remediation company. The air has been scrubbed over night. Monday this company is returning to identify the level of mold contamination (sheetrock has been removed and sealed). We are told there are three levels, 1, 2 and 3, three being toxic to humans and animals. We would like to have more description if each of these levels. Can you describe each of these levels.

Hello,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
Thanks for your query.
Moulds are classified into three classes based on the hazards caused by them.
Hazard Class A:
The mold types in class A are either directly hazardous to health due to risk of infection or creation of toxins.
They should not be in homes or workplaces and should be removed right away if found.
Hazard Class B:
The mold types in class b can cause allergic reactions, especially over longer periods of time.
Hazard Class C:
The mold types in class C are not known to cause any health risks or reactions in humans. However, that even molds in this category can potentially cause structural damage to things that they are growing on, and should still be gotten rid of.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
