Due To An Issue With The Flap At The Esophagus

Due to an issue with the flap at the esophagus to the stomach as well as a shorter than normal esophsus length, an open incision fundoplication was prefomed 20 years ago. Sort
Ynafter that, it beca,e apparent the fundoplication needed to be tightened. The 2nd incisional fundoplication was performed the following years. Along with the defective flap to prevent gerd, I also had parastatal issues and spasms throughout my esophagus. I a, concerned now that the increase in acid reflux, is indicating the fundoplication is again not tight enough. In addition, during a surgery 10 years ago to take down scar tissue that had formed on a section of bowel, the bowel was cut resulting in sepsis, a 31 day ICU stay and 8 1/2 days on life support. My concern now is that daily my acid reflux is intensifying & after nearly 2 decades of not having the Anita to burp or vomit if sick, I am now burping often. Could this be related to a loosening of the fundoplication wrap?
