Dull Pain In Upper Chest, Frequent Sharp Pain In Shoulder. Remedy?

Hi, I have been having a kind of dull pain in my mid upper left chest, with sharper pains in my left shoulder and upper left arm. I have taken my blood pressure, and it is fine as it has always been. I took it on my left arm and right with only a 4 point difference. I have always had a perfect blood pressure. I am 52 years old, overweight, but healthy. I have been having this pain off and on for about a three weeks. My children, who are all adults now, think I should see a doctor, I think it is only bursitis in my shoulder.
