I AM A 44YEAR OLD FEMALE 182LBS. I JUST HAD AN EKG AND THE NURSE PRACTITIONER SAID SHOULD HEARD A FAINT SKIP IN MY HEART BEAT. I TOLD HER THAT PREVIOUS DOCTORS SAID A HAD A HEART MURMUR . SOMETIMES I GET A RAPID HEARTBEAT . SHE SCHEDULED ME FOR AN ECHOCARDIOGRAM AND STRESS TEST. WHAT THE NURSE HEARD COULD THIS BE A BLOCKED ARTERY OR HEART MURMUR?

Missed beat or the extra systole can be having varied etiology, ranging from normal to severe heart problem.

Just having missed beat do not confirm or exclude the heart problems.

you need to under go further investigations to reach a diagnosis.
