Ear Crackling And Distortion Like Blown Speakers..

I have crackling and distortion in my right ear. I had a hearing test last week. Excellent hearing so no problem there. ENT didn t address the crackling and distortion. I listen to radio in car on way to work. If I do not keep sound way low, my ear crackles. The same thing happens when I m on the phone - if the volume is too loud (not normally but with this problem) it crackles and distorts. It s almost like a blown speaker... I am also a musician/singer and this gives me trouble when playing in a group.

Hi there. I have same problem. Went to doctors and ENT. They just took my money and ran. Went to acupuncturist and it helped quite alot but wasn't lasting. Finally realized that by wearing earplugs to get to sleep at night caused some blockage of some fluid in ear canal and caused distortion. I stopped wearing ear plugs and it has helped the same as seeing accupuncturist. I think healthy diet and exercise will help because it makes the body function at a higher rate
Ayurveda Specialist Dr. Rajesh Lakhanpaul's  Response
In Ayurveda these symptoms relate to vatic imbalance. Get your hypertension also checked. As there is localised vatic imbalance I think dropping of two drops of almond oil should solve the problem. If it persists we will have to look for other internal causes.
