Ear, Nasal Congestion, Fever, Chills, Pressure Under Eyes. Taking Nasal Decongestant. Sinus Infection Or Flu?
8 days ago right side of face clogged: ears and nose; 7 days ago entire head, both hears, both nostrils stopped up and very bad runny nose; past 3 days running low grade fever and chills off and on, very tired. Ears totally clogged for 8 days and pressure under eyes very painful. Been taking aleve-d and using a nasal decongestant of and on. does this sound more like a severe sinus infection or the flu?
HI I have gone through your mail and as you said that you have upper respiratory tract infection for last three weeks, you have nasal infection, congestion and obstruction which had progress to involve throat leading to sore-throat and this ultimately lead to obstruction of eustechian tube which developed to ear blockade.you are advice to go for these investigations-((1) X-Ray paranasal sinuses,(2) culture and sensitivity of nasal discharge (3) H.R.C.T. of ear (4) Pure tone audiometry (5) Impedance audiometry. Now you are advice to consult your E.N.T.doctor for your clinical examination and co-relation of inferences of investigations so that your disease can be diagnose for treatment.Thanks.
