Ear Pain With Swelling Since Blowing The Nose. What Could Be Causing This?
I blew my nose a little bit ago (been congested past few days) and I felt this pain in my ear, my ear I can tell is a big swollen, but I m not dizzy, I m not hearing noise (like buzzing) and I didn t hear any noise when I blew my noise in the ear... so I m not sure what is wrong with it, I m not sure if this is something I just leave alone and it gets better, or something I should be seen for... thank you.
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vidya KR's Response
Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
Pain in ear could be due to congestion in middle ear. as there is a tube connecting between ear and nose. Get examined by doctor for any bulging ear drum. You can take antihistamines to reduce congestion and NSAIDs to reduce pain.
Hope I answered your question. Consult your doctor for further management. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries or doubts and I shall be glad to help you out. Wish you good health. Take care.
