Hi,
A home pregnancy test can be useful when performed 3-7 days after the due date with a fresh early morning sample. For better confirmation, you can get the serum beta-hCG values which are more specific. You may also need a routine urinalysis to rule out any possibility of a urinary infection. A trans-vaginal sonogram after a couple of days could be useful. Your symptoms are suggestive of early pregnancy and the bleeding could be due to implantation, but evidence is needed. Hope this helps. Take care.
